Our Journey to Understanding

GayTest was born from a simple need: a private, non-judgmental space for people to explore their sexuality. Created by members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community, alongside psychologists, we built a tool that offers reflection, not labels. Our optional AI analysis is the next step in that journey, providing deeper, personalized insights for those who seek them.

Early 2024 — A Spark of an Idea

Recognizing the need for a better, safer online tool for sexual orientation self-discovery, a team of LGBTQ+ members and allies begins development.

December 2024 — Official Launch

GayTest goes live, focusing on an accessible, non-judgmental user experience and a carefully designed questionnaire for initial self-reflection.

September 2025 — AI-Powered Insights

We introduce the optional AI-powered analysis, offering users a chance to receive deeper, personalized insights to aid their journey of understanding.

2026 & Beyond — A Growing Resource

Our vision is to expand our resources, add more languages, and continue creating tools that empower individuals on their unique paths to self-discovery.
